Presentation of the Community Cares Survey Results 11-27-2012

Chardon Community Action Team is pleased to announce a presentation of the 2011 PRIDE Geauga Regional Communities That Care Youth Survey. The Chardon Community Action Team’s goal is to reduce the use of alcohol, drugs, and tobacco in our community through education and events for youth and their families.

The evening program, open to the public, will be at 7 PM on November 27, in the Council Chambers at Chardon Municipal Center, located at 111 Water Street, Chardon, Ohio. Linda Miller, Vice Chairman of the Geauga County Board of Metal Health and Recovery Services will share the results of the 2011 PRIDE Geauga Regional Communities That Care Youth Survey administered to over 6,000 fourth through twelfth grade students in Geauga County public schools and Chagrin Falls Local Schools. There will be time to discuss the implications for prevention and treatment efforts. Refreshments will be provided to all those in attendance.

“The results of this survey include the measurement of alcohol, tobacco use, and other drugs among our youth in our community”, said Linda Miller. “Parents and other community members can come to this informative presentation to learn more about the local trends in our community.”

If you or another community member is interested in more information about this presentation or the Chardon Community Action Team, please visit WWW.chardoncommunityactionteam.org/ or call the Lake-Geauga Center at (440) 285-9119 or Geauga County Board of Mental Health and Recovery at (440) 285-2282.
